Music Venues North Lake Tahoe
The North Lake Tahoe area offers an abundance of free music venues in various places around the lake. Each Thursday, the Truckee River Regional Park features free Music in the Park. This is a series of free concerts that offer a diverse lineup of bands and genres.
On Fridays, you can enjoy Music on the Beach in Kings Beach, a popular summer concert series held at Kings Beach State Recreation Area. Each Sunday, bring your picnic and listen to the Concerts at Commons Beach in Tahoe City starting at 4pm through September 8th.
While many of these summer concerts end at the end of August, Bluesdays at Palisades Tahoe offers free blues music every Tuesday evening. You can enjoy performances by top blues musicians, with food and drink specials from the surrounding restaurants.
At Alibi Ale Works, you can enjoy craft beer, food and free tunes under the stars, starting at 7pm. Bring a blanket as seating is limited.
Moe’s Original BBQ is featuring Broken Compass Bluesgrass music on August 25th at 7pm. You will need to purchase a ticket for this event here.
If you prefer classical ensemble music and jazz concerts in an intimate setting, the Tahoe Music Alive venue is for you. Tahoe Music Alive sponsors fall chamber music and jazz concerts featuring professional and emergent musicians from Lake Tahoe and the world.
Tahoe Music Alive is a project of the Tahoe Truckee School of Music and is a 501(c)3 organization. The outstanding natural beauty of the North Lake Tahoe landscape offers a breathtaking backdrop for these small outdoor and intimate ensembles.
Offering a more immersive experience, you will enjoy an up-close and personal experience in a magical, outdoor setting. Ticket are also required for this event, and they sell out quickly.
