Tahoe Film Fest 2025

The 11th annual Tahoe Film Fest will take place on December 4th through the 7th 2025 at Lake Tahoe. The Tahoe Film Festival brings a special energy to the Sierra each year, blending independent cinema, thoughtful storytelling, and the natural beauty of Lake Tahoe.
All proceeds from Tahoe Film Fest benefit UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC). The Research Center comprises a global team of scientists and educators that utilize a state-of-the-art LEED Platinum laboratory, two public science centers and a network of innovative instruments to improve the environment of the Lake Tahoe Basin today and for the future.
Tahoe Film Fest – Spotlight Picks
Tahoe Film Fest returns with a lively, hand-picked program of premieres and audience favorites that blends big-name cinema with adventurous, independent filmmaking. The festival’s current program includes high-profile features and cinematic craft that range from intimate character studies to adrenaline-fueled mountain cinema.
Jay Kelly – Thurs, December 4th 5:45 PM at Incline Village Cinema
Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly is a bittersweet, sharply observed character study about a famous actor at a crossroads. George Clooney plays the title role – a movie star who, worn thin by celebrity and haunted by personal losses, impulsively heads to Europe to reconnect with family and himself. Equal parts wry industry satire and tender introspection, the film follows Jay as he confronts past choices and the fragile line between persona and person. Also features Adam Sandler.
Song Sung Blue – Fri, December 5th 7:00 PM at Incline Village Cinema
Song Sung Blue is a warm, music-forward crowd pleaser about second chances. Centered on two down-on-their-luck musicians (Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson) who form a Neil Diamond tribute band, the film celebrates friendship, resilience, and the healing power of performance. With heartfelt performances and a sunny, feel-good tone, it’s the kind of movie that leaves audiences smiling and tapping their feet. The film is written, directed and produced by Craig Brewer (FOOTLOOSE.)
Pressure Drop – Sat., December 6th 7:00 PM at the Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room
For viewers who crave high-altitude thrills, Pressure Drop (Teton Gravity Research) is a cinematic rush: the company’s 30th annual ski-and-snowboard film follows elite athletes through massive cliffs, stacked pillow lines, and remote powder fields from Norway to Alaska to Palisades Tahoe. Beautifully shot and pulse-raising, it’s an ode to risk, focus, and the moment when gravity takes over. (Festival screening: Crystal Bay Casino Crown Room, December 6 at 7:00 PM.)

Lake Tahoe 3rd Quarter Market Report
Sales remained strong in Lake Tahoe during the 3rd Quarter of 2025. Inventory is growing, providing more choices for buyers, but home values and sale to list prices remain steady. The luxury and lakefront markets were the strong performers. For more information about market activity in specific areas, check out Sierra Sotheby's Market Report here.
