Talmont Estates is located on the West shore of Lake Tahoe. It is approximately 800 feet above Sunnyside and Tahoe City, and is one of Lake Tahoe’s most private neighborhoods. Lake Tahoe's Most Majestic Trails

What makes this neighborhood truly special is the ease of access to the Paige Meadows trailheads. Trails also lead to Ward Canyon, Alpine Peaks, Granlibakken, the Tahoe Rim Trail and even the Pacific Crest Trail. Start hiking in any direction and you will find amazing trails that wind through the Alpine mountains.

In Paige Meadows, the hiking is easy, and many people mountain bike or cross country ski through the meadows. With just a few hills on the trail that circle a spring lake, you can enjoy a mostly flat hike.

Paige Meadows is one of Lake Tahoe’s most beautiful hiking trails. In late Spring, you will find a runoff lake in its center with trails that meander through forests. Most trails loop around, or lead to other trails.

Beginning at the end of May, the wildflowers are absolutely stunning with the Snow Plant poking through the soil as the harbinger of Summer. You will also find Lupin, Columbine, Paint Brush and Mules Ears in a radiant display of color during June and lasting until mid August.

This is a perfect location to snowshoe or cross country ski right from your back door. The area is not as heavily trafficked so you can enjoy mostly solitude on the trails. Biking will lead you on trails that climb into the back of Alpine Meadows ski resort.

During fall, the area is ablaze with quaking aspen. Because of the expansive vistas at Paige Meadows, you will often see wildlife that can’t be seen in any other area of Lake Tahoe. There is an undisturbed and majestic feel to the landscape.

On the west side of Paige Meadows, you can find access into Twin Peaks Estates. If you hike into Twin Peaks, you can find the Pacific Crest Trail. On the north side, hike to the Tahoe Rim Trail. If you take the trail to the east, you will find trails that lead to Granlibakken. No matter which direction you travel, you will find abundant trails.

Directions to Paige Meadows

You can find Paige Meadows by taking Highway 89 South from Tahoe City. Just before Sunnyside Restaurant, turn right on Pine Avenue and follow the road to turn right onto Tahoe Park Heights Drive. Travel up the steep hill and turn right onto Big Pine. You will take an immediate left on Silvertip Drive and follow it to the end of the road. There is parking on the road and a small parking area adjacent to the trail.

The neighborhoods of Twin Peaks Estates and Talmont Estates are Lake Tahoe’s best kept secrets. Tucked further back into the mountains, you can enjoy living away from the congestion of Tahoe City. Both are perfect retreat communities with limited inventory.
